CCP Insulating Flanges for New High-Pressure Construction
In Bad Bentheim, NOWEGA GmbH is constructing a new hydrogen-compatible gas pressure regulation and metering system in the transmission network. The challenge: to design high-pressure separation points with RTJ joints in such a way that they simultaneously meet the requirements for corrosion protection, leak tightness, and future needs of the gas and hydrogen infrastructure.
ISOFLANGES supplies CCP insulating flanges in the HP2-Dplus system with a space-saving installation dimension of just 5 mm, designed for high-pressure operation in the transmission network. The previous RTJ seal is replaced one-to-one by a 100% reliable insulating joint that electrically isolates the pipeline sections, maintains the full effectiveness of cathodic corrosion protection, and offers high pressure and leak-tightness reliability —an ideal solution for new construction and retrofits, especially in confined spaces.

CHALLENGE
- Integration of New Insulating Joints into an Existing High-Pressure System
- Ensuring a reliable CCP across multiple pipeline sections
- High-pressure RTJ design combined with a low-maintenance, durable construction
- H2-ready design for future gas and hydrogen infrastructure
- Very limited installation space in the GDRMA with complex piping
